How to use the site

Introduction

Welcome to the HSBC Sponsorship Footage video library. This unique library is designed for you to explore the wide range of sponsorship activities HSBC promotes worldwide through the medium of video. As well as being able to view the clips online, you also have the ability to download many of them as high definition windows media files. These can be played as stand alone clips or even used to insert into a PowerPoint presentation etc. These high definition clips (1480 x1080 resolution) need a computer of a certain specification to run. Please contact a member of your IT team if you are having problems playing them.

Navigation

The video clips are filed under their respective categories, i.e British Lions Tour 2009, FEI Classics 2008 etc. You will see the categories listed along the left hand side of the player. Selecting a category takes you into further options for that sponsorship program. Please take some time to browse the different headings. You can quickly navigate back to the main menu by selecting the Menu button found at the top of the headings.

Controls

Each heading will take you through to view a number of video clips. Each clip has a respective thumbnail and short text description giving further details on its contents. You will also find a simple control bar for playing the clips at the bottom of the main player window. The controls are similar to most video players. It has a PLAY and PAUSE button and an option to mute the sound. You can click on the PLAY button in the small thumbnail or the PLAY button in the large player window to play the video.

Downloading

Below many of the clips text descriptions, you will find an option to 'Download Hi-Res Version'. Selecting this option will take you through to a page at the web site, 'you send it.com'. From here you just need to select where you would like the clip to be saved. It is as straightforward as that!
